IN Groupe and the Central Bank of Egypt engage their first step of a partnership approach for secure identities, related digital services and banknote
As two sovereign public entities for their respective Governments, IN Groupe, represented by Yann Haguet, EVP at IN Groupe and the Central Bank of Egypt represented by Mr. Hassan Abdalla Honorable Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt, have confirmed their intention to work closely together to combine their expertise for the benefit of the Egyptian government in a more global regional approach.
Strengthen the overall mastery of new forms of identity, related digital services and banknote
The Honorable Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt and the Executive VP of IN Groupe, reaffirmed the common vision of two public entities considering identity as a fundamental right that should provide citizens with the opportunity to live in a secure world and to assert their rights in the physical and digital world.
As one and the other responsible of issuing legal identities in their respective countries, they discussed about their future partnership that could bring together the latest innovative components, services and securities integrated to any secure documents such as passports or ID Cards combined with the facilitation ensured by digital identities, related digital services and banknote.
A common roadmap for the future
By building the first step of their common approach to benefit from IN Groupe’s and Central Bank of Egypt knowledge in securing identities and banknote, and in addition to its recent discussions with Khaled Farouq, Honorable Sub Governor Printing House, the two public entities have confirmed their common interest to work together on three main domains: share of knowledge between the two National Printing house for legal identity and secure documents manufacturing integrating the African market specificities ; pool their knowhow, resources, technologies and national printing expertise in the design, development and deployment of new products and solutions for the area; exchange on Digital Identity and management of Civil registration.
IN Groupe is commited to the Central Bank of Egypt through a first key event: African Currency Forum
The African Currency Forum will take place from January 15th to 19th in Cairo – Egypt. As it is a major event in area, IN Groupe will support the initiative through the sponsorship of its secure components brand Surys that will present its latest Banknote security features such as threads, foils, patches on polymer and paper.
It will also be the opportunity to introduce the new 20 Egyptian pounds integrating the state of art design and optical security features from Surys brand.
