IN Groupe is partnering Identity Day, ID day
On 16 September 2024, IN Groupe is proud to support ID Day, an event aimed at achieving universal recognition of everyone's right to a legal identity. In an increasingly connected world, proof of identity is more than just a document: it is a gateway to participation in the civic, economic and social life of one's country. Yet nearly 850 million people around the world are still deprived of this fundamental right, preventing them from accessing essential services such as education, health and employment.
IN Groupe's commitment
As a global expert and specialist in identity and trusted solutions, IN Groupe works alongside more than 250 international organisations to ensure, through its solutions, that every individual can prove their identity legally and securely. We are also working towards a phygital identity, combining the benefits of digital and physical solutions to create a system that is inclusive and resilient to the challenges of the modern world.
Towards a physical identity that combines with a digital identity
Digital identity and physical identity must coexist to ensure the security, sovereignty and right of access of every citizen to public and private services. Aware of the challenges, IN Groupe is working on these two dimensions of identity and promoting a ‘phygital’ approach. This approach aims to foster the emergence of an efficient digital administration, an innovative economy and a connected, secure and inclusive society. By combining the advantages of physical and digital identity, this approach means we can respond flexibly to the diverse situations, needs and preferences of citizens.

Identity as a lever for inclusion and protection
Identity Day, launched by ID4Africa in 2018 and commemorated today by more than 28 countries around the world, highlights three essential pillars of everyone's right to an identity: inclusion, protection and empowerment.
Inclusion: Too many people remain invisible because they have no proof of identity. We need to ensure that everyone, regardless of their situation, is legally recognised. IN Groupe is convinced that technology should no longer be an obstacle, but should play a part in building a more inclusive world.
Protection: In a hyper-connected world where cyber-attacks and identity theft are on the increase, protecting one's identity is essential. As the world's leading player in secure identity, IN Groupe is constantly evolving state-of-the-art encryption technologies. We are committed to continuous innovation to find seamless ways of protecting identities.
Empowerment: Identity empowers any citizen who possesses it and can justify it. It enables them to access the essential services of civil life: education, health, employment and social services. It is a powerful tool for personal empowerment.
