Mastercard certified SPS IN Groupe eBoost® technology with EVC® Dynamic Security Code Card for Global rollout
A breakthrough in payment security
SPS, an IN Groupe brand and a global leader in contactless and dual-interface card manufacturing technologies, in partnership with Ellipse, a Los Angeles-based FinTech company specializing in payment security, has successfully obtained Mastercard CCS certification for its EVC® dual-interface, dynamic security code EMV micromodule. This technology is now integrated into AUSTRIACARD / TAG SYSTEMS payment cards, marking a significant advancement in secure payment solutions.
While dual-interface EMV payment cards offer security for physical transactions, online payments remain vulnerable due to the static Card Security Code (CSC). The EVC® micro-module addresses this issue by integrating a dynamic security code display on the back of the card, which updates with each contact or contactless transaction. This innovation eliminates the risk of fraudsters copying and reusing static CSCs.

The SPS IN Groupe eBoost™ inductive coupling technology eliminates the need for a physical connection between the chip and the antenna, enhancing reliability, reducing production costs, and ensuring long-term durability. SPS IN Groupe delivers EVC® All-In-One micromodules in standard 35mm reels, facilitating seamless card manufacturing.
