Secondary colour portrait with motion effect

Reinforcing ID document protection with LASINK™ 3D

Protecting the holder’s portrait is a key priority in securing ID documents. A secondary portrait reinforces the link with the primary image, enabling reliable identity verification and making portrait substitution extremely difficult. By interlinking both images, LASINK™ 3D significantly raises the barrier against forgery and document tampering.

LASINK™ 3D combines two proven ID security features: the LASINK™ Origin colour portrait and a Stereo Laser Image (SLI®) 3D effect. Embedded as a colour secondary portrait within a transparent window, it delivers distinctive motion and depth effects that provide clear and unambiguous authentication of polycarbonate ID documents. LASINK™ 3D is generated from a standard enrolment photo, without requiring any specific or additional capture process.

Designed for intuitive inspection, LASINK™ 3D is easy to verify visually, even by untrained inspectors, while remaining highly resistant to reproduction. Laser engraved directly into the polycarbonate structure, the security feature cannot be replicated using standard printing or personalisation technologies, ensuring strong protection against counterfeiting and fraudulent personalisation.
